If you choose to verify your identity or profile, you may provide:

- A selfie and/or short video for “liveness” or photo matching (where offered)
- Other information needed for fraud prevention or safety screening

B) Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Services, we may automatically collect:
Device & Usage Data
- Device type, operating system, app version
- App activity (features used, time spent, clicks, match interactions)

- Approximate location derived from IP address
Location Data (Optional)
- If you enable location permissions, we may collect precise location to help show matches near you.
You can disable precise location in your device settings.

C) Information from Third Parties

- Payment processors (e.g., Apple In‑App Purchase, Stripe or similar) such as purchase confirmation, subscription status, partial billing details, and transaction metadata (we do not receive full card numbers in many cases)

- Verification, fraud prevention, and moderation providers (if used)
- Social login providers (if you choose to sign in via a third party)

Some information processed by TrueVow may be considered “sensitive” under certain laws, such as:

Important: We do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means. You can control certain personalization settings as described below.

Depending on what we offer in the App, you may be able to:
- Disable certain personalization features in Settings
- Limit certain uses of sensitive data (where applicable)
- Request access or deletion of your data (see Section 11)
8) Biometric Information (Only If You Choose Verification Features)
If TrueVow offers optional photo/selfie verification or ID verification, we may collect biometric identifiers or biometric information derived from your selfie/video for the limited purpose of:
- Confirming liveness (that you are a real person)
- Matching your selfie to your submitted photo (to reduce impersonation)
- Preventing fraud and keeping the community safe
Retention and Deletion
If we collect biometric information, we maintain a written retention schedule and delete biometric information:
- when the initial purpose for collection has been satisfied, or
- within a limited period after your last interaction with the Services (whichever occurs first),
unless a longer period is required by law.
We do not sell biometric information.
(If you do not use verification, we do not collect biometric information for that purpose.)
9) Data Retention
We retain information only as long as necessary to provide the Services and for legitimate business and legal purposes, including safety and dispute resolution.
Examples (may vary depending on circumstances):
- Account data: retained while your account is active
- Messages: retained to operate the messaging feature and for safety/integrity purposes
- Reports and safety logs: retained for a longer period to enforce rules and prevent repeat harm
- Deleted accounts: we may retain certain information for a limited period for legal compliance, fraud prevention, or backup integrity
